2026 Monthly Talks
Below are the dates of Society's meetings to which all are welcome
Eastbourne Society Members' Meetings
Held monthly on Tuesday evenings
Time: 7.30pm (doors open 7pm)
Venue: The Sussex Suite, Cavendish Hotel, 38 Grand Parade, Eastbourne, BN21 4DH
Visitors: are welcome - no need to book - £5 on the door
September 2026
On September 8th Anna Hoad will be giving a talk about the "Beachy Head Ambassadors".
October 2026
On October 13th Gaynor Sedgewick will be giving a talk on "Friends of Eastbourne Seafront".
November 2026
On November 10th Stephen Holt will be giving us an update as Leader of "Eastbourne Borough Council".
Regular Monthly Event
Gather @ The Beacon
On the last Friday in the month from 10:00 to 16:00 you will usually find us alongside other Heritage Societies in the Gather space at The Beacon shopping centre in Eastbourne.
The Borough Conservation Officer is available to speak to anyone who drops in from 1-3pm on a first come basis.
Here are the second half of 2026 dates:

16th October** (an earlier Friday than usual)

No meeting in December

Where to find us
Tuesdays Monthly
Usually held on the Second Tuesday in the month we host a talk at 7.30pm in the Sussex Suite at The Cavendish Hotel Eastbourne.
Visitors are welcome to come and join us as a Guest and can pay £5 on the door.
Fridays Monthly
On the Last Friday in the month several Heritage Groups can be found displaying literature at The Gather Space in the Beacon Shopping Centre between 10am and 4pm.
A Conservation Officer is available between 1pm and 3pm to answer questions
Registered Office
Our artefacts and archives are now in storage at Ocklynge Chapel North.
Trustees will be working on admin and archiving in the Chapel.
In the meantime do keep up to date online via the website and via Facebook with future developments.
